SMDV Limited Product Warranty
SMDV guarantees to the original purchaser an individual product factory warranty against manufacturer defects in materials and workmanship for a 1-year period (6-months for battery) from the date of purchase from an authorized dealer.
Terms and Conditions of Limited Warranty:
This warranty is limited to the repair or replacement of a product or component that should become defective under normal use, as outlined in the product description and product manual.
If, during the applicable warranty period, the product is found to be defective by SMDV, we will repair or replace the defective product with an equivalent model without charge for labor or parts.
This warranty will not cover deterioration or malfunction resulting from accident, act of nature, abuse, misuse, neglect, unauthorized product repair, shipping of the product, opening of or modification or failure to follow instructions supplied with product, or to ordinary wear and tear, or to cosmetic details which do not limit functionality.
The product must be returned to SMDV or authorized service representative for warranty service. For customers in the United States, warranty service includes return shipment to the original destination (where the equipment was sent to the original purchaser). Customers outside of the United States will be responsible for all shipping fees, duties, taxes and brokerage fees to ship the product to and from our offices.
SMDV OR ITS AUTHORIZED REPRESENTATIVE IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, INDIRECT, PUNITIVE OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, LOST PROFITS, OR PRODUCTS LOST, STOLEN OR DAMAGED DURING SHIPPING, WHETHER ARISING IN CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), OR OTHERWISE. ALL LIABILITY OF SMDV OR ITS AUTHORIZED REPRESENTATIVE SHALL BE LIMITED TO THE REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT, AT OUR OPTION, OF ANY DEFECTIVE PRODUCT.
THIS WARRANTY IS EXPRESSLY MADE IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.
To Obtain Warranty Service:
You must contact us to receive a Return Authorization number before sending products. The customer is responsible for the shipping cost for the return shipment. SMDV will bear no responsibility for any items returned without following these procedures. To obtain warranty service, send the product, shipping paid, along with an explanation of the defect, the proof of purchase from an authorized SMDV dealer/retailer (which must include the original purchase date for establishing the warranty eligibility) and your name, address and telephone number. The Return Authorization number must appear on or near the shipping label.
Repair or replacement as provided under this warranty is the exclusive remedy under this warranty. SMDV shall in no event be liable for any incidental or consequential damages. Some states do not allow exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above exclusion may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may have other rights which vary from state to state.
